We all the civilians of Khudunabari know that we are still back in the context of education, public awareness, economic growth and infrastructure development. We have never or rarely questioned that why we are still back? We just blame the some few components of development and growth like political instability and planning and decentralization of budgets of the state government for the blocks of all kinds of developmental works. First of all we obligatorily should realize that there are some of internal forces of human being that no one can change expect ourselves. In the twenty first century the disciplines of development have been defined broadly not limiting the definition of development in producing goods, constructing roads, bridges, hospitals, colleges, universities, business complexes and so on. One of the most important indices of the development is transformation of human spirit towards the optimum civilization.

There are some examples that government never can resolve the problems of our community in absence of individual effort. Government cannot keep all people healthy because it depends on the people’s attitudes. Government cannot solve all unemployment problems of the nation unless individual realized for self-employment. Government cannot change our bad habits like substance abuse, greed for corruption, sexual abuse etc. until we think and practice that they are really in against of humanitarian welfare.

We know that everybody wants developmental changes. Change is not a small thing. It does not happen suddenly and results of change are not visible within very short time. Let’s make a belief that change is a big thing but we have to be responsible for that. Primarily most of the political decisions in Nepal are made in favor of political party or political leader but not for poor civilians. Community people should be aware that how far the political leaders are responsible for their basic problems! People have power to make a leader or a follower. Judgmental eyes of the people should be kept open for the decision of giving and taking the position of leadership.
I found a story of a lion in a legendary book. The story goes this way. There was a lion in the jungle. One day he heard that there was another animal bigger than him who might be dangerous for him. The bigger animal used to walk nearby him daily. The other small animals used to fear with that big animal. The lion could not bear the position of him replaced by the other animal. The lion decided to kill him but he could not kill the big animal alone. He thought that he needed help of other animals. The lion selected powerful animals who can take action against the big animal. The wolf, hyena and jackal are called and prepare the strategies to kill the big one. Finally they killed the big one. They prepared the flesh of the big animal. They divided the flesh into four parts. First choice option was given to the lion. Lion was so greedy and he thought that he should not let meat to other three small animals that they assisted him to kill the big one. The lion claim that the first part belongs to him as he had killed the big animal. Secondly the lion again claimed the second part of meat and gurgled that he used the more power to kill the big animal than the other three. Jackal, wolf and the hyena accepted that the lion big he might have used the more power than them. After some time they waited for their turn to choose the part of their meat but the lion stopped them and claim the third one. He argued that the third part of meat also belongs to him because he was the king of that jungle and finally he again grabbed the last part of the meat and chased all three small animals. After that the three small animals became helpless and lost their wage. We can take the example of the lion as the present strategies of political leaders of Nepal. We have to be aware and learn the lessons from the selfish attitude of the leaders and dare to move them from taking the position or replace them with welfare spirit.
